Spanish For Dental Professionals The on-campus Dental Hygiene Clinic is open to the public and serves the surrounding area. The majority of these patients speak only Spanish and have not had regular access to dental care. Our students must be able to communicate with their patients and understand their needs. Through the Spanish for Dental Professionals courses, students learn about the language as well as the culture. They learn to effectively communicate with their patients to provide the best care possible. The integration of Spanish into the curriculum helps patients feel welcome and accepted and gives our students valuable tools in helping the underserved.
